Summer Local Events in the Pittsburgh PA Area

Spring is well underway and summer is right around the corner, and as such it might be time to get out and enjoy the warmer weather with family and friends! There are many ways that you can do this, especially in your local Pittsburgh area. This includes getting out and enjoying a variety of great events. 1. Family Day at the Phipps Conservatory

A perfect event for both you and your family, the Phipps Conservatory is offering to allow you to explore their gardens and greenhouses and enjoy stunning flora! The location encompasses up to 15 acres, including a 14-room glasshouse and 23 gardens. The facility has industry-leading sustainable architecture and green practices, as well as amazing flora varieties.

The historic location is located just a few miles from Pittsburgh’s downtown area, located at 1 Schenley Drive, Pittsburgh, PA. The event is free for WoodmenLife members or $10 for non-members and will be taking place on May 18th. You can learn more about this event by clicking here!

2. Free Improv and Stand Up Comedy Show!

Taking place at the Pittsburgh Improv Comedy Club, which is located at 166 East Bridge Street, Homestead, PA, a triple headliner show is being offered for free! You’ll be able to enjoy comedians like Franco Harris, Matt Bellak, Tim Hanlon, and more! The event will be free, though drinks and food will need to be paid for and promises laughs and delights! The event will be taking place on May 23rd.

3. 2019 East Coast Championships

Once again, the East Coast Championships are taking place in Pittsburgh PA on the memorial weekend, taking place from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th. This event will be located at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center at 1000 Fort Duquesne Boulevard. Tickets for this event will range from $10 to $15 and will be non-refundable.
